विषयवती वा प्रवृत्तिरुत्पन्ना मनसः स्थिति निबन्धिनी ॥३५॥
viṣayavatī vā pravṛtti-rutpannā manasaḥ sthiti nibandhinī ||35||
[SS] 1.35 Or the concentration on subtle sense perceptions can cause steadiness of mind. [p59]
[TD] 1.35 By regular inquiry into the role of the senses we can reduce mental distortions. [p160]

(वती, vatī) = impressions; sensation

(उत्पन्ना, utpannā) = bring about; arise; come from;
(मनसः, manasaḥ) = mind; spirit; understanding
(स्थिति, sthiti) = steadiness
(निबन्धनी, nibandhanī) = consolidate; aggregate
